For the first 3:55 seconds of the video below, one could rightfully assume there is a prankster’s hand involved in the creation of this video, which asks a group of Wembly residents and subsequent cat owners to unleash a flurry of 100 household cats into a contained area of a local IKEA home furnishings store. This seems like something the Improv Everywhere group would have up their sleeve (just replace the cats with midgets and it’d be a dead ringer for Improv’s line of work). But looks tend to deceive as the adage goes.

So who’s behind this? Who has broken the doors down of an unsuspecting IKEA, snuck in during off hours, setting up professional equipment and leaving the store vulnerable to 100 felines hell bent on terror, rendering the store a virtual death trap (for cat allergists of course)? Who!??

SPOILER ALERT:

It was IKEA.

Surprise, surprise.

Watch in horror/delight/confusion as the cats take over and IKEA slides into the viral video hall of fame/infamy.
