How was your weekend? Had fun? Had . . . “a lot” of fun? Well, that’s good. Seems like you hit the sauce pretty hard though. Now, from what it looks at least, you’re nursing a pretty bad hangover, huh? Killer headache, everything’s loud and annoying, all you wanted do is stay in bed and try not to hurl all over your pillow. Yeah, sucks. We know. So, to say the least, it must’ve been a drag peeling yourself up off your bed (or your floor. No judgment.), dragging yourself out to go punch the clock for “the man”, huh? In fact, speaking of “punching the clock”, uh . . . how many times did you hit the snooze bar this morning? Twice? Thrice? Whoa, more than thrice?!

Well, just imagine that some kind-hearted genius, who has only the best of intentions, figured a way to remove the guilt associated with sleeping in, while simultaneously giving to a charity.

Walk with me.

Snooze is a new free mobile app for the iPhone, iPad and iPod that works off of a very simple alarm clock model with a philanthropic twist: alarm goes off, user has option of waking up, or hitting the snooze button and donating $0.25 to the LetGive network and catching a few more zzzz’s. Then, twice a month, user is given the option of collecting all of their “snoozes” and giving them to a charity of their liking. The whole thing rings of smarty-pants go-gooder-ism, but allows your inner “Bad Santa” off the hook.

Lazy is about to get a whole lot more respect.
